Neuropsychiatry or Neuropsychology is a discipline which combines elements of both psychology and neurology. It studies how a brain functions in response to behaviour, cognition and emotions.

A neuropsychologist or neuropsychotherapist is a one who specialises in psychology but gets trained in understanding the correlation between physical brain and behaviour. The brain is most important element of the body and it is very complex to study. Any disorders or damage affects the nervous system leading to change in behaviour and cognitive function.

A neuropsychologist or neuropsychotherapist can help diagnose a behavioural, cognitive and neurological condition. What other doctors might not diagnose, a neuropsychologist can lead to deeper understanding of the conditions and helps in creating a best suitable treatment plan. Schizophrenia: A brain disorder characterised by hallucinations (auditory, visual, olfactory, or tactile), delusions, behavioural changes, speaking difficulties, emotion changes etc. Various genetic, Biological and developmental factors are responsible to cause this neuropsychiatric condition which can be treated with the combination of antipsychotic medications and psychotherapy.

Insomnia: A Condition of having difficulty in Sleeping associated with the other symptoms such as fatigue, low energy, difficulty concentrating, mood disturbances, and decreased performance. The problem is associated with the medical and psychological issues.

Mood Disorders: Its is a situation of constant Mood changes or emotion state which is again associated with depression and stress level.
